Followers (of Christ),
It has come up as questions before, why name a ministry as Mountain Majesty Ministries, especially when this Ministry is not a location or a place and exist solely in internet and if we believe we are "above" other Followers of Christ being in the Mountains. We have even had people look at pictures of mountains we show, and say "Oh that is a nice place" as if that is somewhere one comes to enjoy the views. Still, it could be mountains in Tibet, the Hills of Judea, Mt. Sinai or Mt. Saint Helen for all anyone knows. Neither the ministry nor the mountains we picture, are a place or a location, and picture is just a picture. Mountain, is also just a symbol and expression, for what is God, his words and your inner peace and powers you draw upon. The ministry, the mountains, or the mountain is almost entirely just euphemism to God with you, God inside of you, and you following God.
Mountains are throughout the Bible, there is 8 main physical mountains it speaks of and refers to in special impact to the Bible. It is Mount Horeb is described in the Bible 2 times ( Exodus 3:1, 1 Kings 19:8) where we get the Ten Commandments from. Our cultural history of sayings like "I have been to the mountain....and it was there I received from God..." ...that sense of inspiration, light, love, direction. Mountains can also refer to your personal victory and what you have climbed unto and attained in your life spiritually and personal growth and development.
The Mountain Even We Look Unto Is Not Above Thee, It Is Within, And In The Valley
Please do not think by the use of mountains in expression value, that God is more with people in the mountains, or is in any way a superior placement by altitude, than people in the valleys. It is true, sometimes being in the mountains some of us may occasionally get a slight touch of feeling very fortunate we are somehow closer to God as a personal "connection" thing where as individuals we identify with nature. For others, the feel "connected" to God in the valleys. We can, do and will at times enhance the idea that mountains are a beacon, power base, peace point, place of refuge or somehow is where the Moses types of society go to get the stone tablets. We, like the Bible, sometimes speak in spiritual metaphors and analogies addressed to you, about the Kingdom of Heaven within you, no matter where you are, mountains, or valleys. It is in 1 King 20:28 in KJV we see the Syrians (Armenians) of then being spoken of about being in a coming (past, and future even) military defeat, it said "And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.". Now, this is one of those Bible versus that you can not just skim over it real fast, and need to read it closely to see what it is actually meaning to say. Its saying that your God, our God, the God of all, is the same God of the people in the mountains, as people in the valleys. That a one true God over all will make himself known. You in the valleys, are the same as us in the mountains in the same God.
No matter how you envision, picture and look to the mountains in Colorado even,...Psalm 121:1 "I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help" it is always from within your heart first, to then look at and admire and receive his love and peace in you, where the Kingdom of Heaven is (in your hearts), and your personal victories in God.
