Followers (Of Christ),
We are having snow blizzards in our blog writing time. Which maybe that means not so much to many of the readers in other regions where it is sunny, warm and utilities are working, and while yet to others in our own area have power outages, and internet problems. The issue it makes for us in the Ministry is we get less electrical power as snow on solar panels competes with sun absorption. We are blessed to still have internet and some power when most others near us at time of this writing do not, but bear with us as we redefine this moment into utter brevity and simplicity as we share how beautiful it is to have snow!
Yes, snow. It is spoken of in the Bible about 25 times, which to us this year means there is more snow in the Bible, than number of times we have had snow locally this year. So when it snows, ....we take all we can get as it has been so dry and relatively snowless this year...until now right as we try to write the blogs, so in ultra short blog this week, we share only one of our favorite versus about the snow, in what it means to us as Followers of Christ. We compare it to love and grace that purifies...and so as we and the earth needs it's seasons, we also need our own seasons under God in grace and renewing in him. Please join us in a short moment of prayer and thanks for our recent snow...
We find that analogy in Isaiah 1:18 "18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
If you have power and internet this moment while many do not, please enjoy the basics of a simple praise song called white as snow.
See you in next weeks blog when we are back up to full power and internet resources and hopefully the others in our region who lost power and internet will be back up too....and enjoying the grace of God to us all making us white as snow!
